About Betty Ogiel

Hi, I am Betty Ogiel. As an Inspirational Speaker, author, and award-winning Human Resource professional, my mission is to inspire hope and transform lives. With nearly twenty years of experience in human resource management, customer care, and leadership, I am dedicated to helping individuals and organizations unlock their full potential and achieve greatness.

I am a certified Independent Coach, Speaker, and Trainer with the John Maxwell Team. My journey is one of perseverance, resilience, and triumph over adversity, having survived a devastating motor accident that left me paralyzed and unable to speak for six months. Despite these challenges, I overcame the odds to become a Maxwell Leadership Certified Coach and a recipient of the 2021 Maxwell Leadership Certified Team DNA award, along with multiple HR awards in Uganda.

Since 2009, I have delivered over one thousand speaking engagements across the globe, including schools, corporate settings, government and non-government organizations, and churches.

My messages of hope and resilience have touched countless lives.

Passionate about advocating for the vulnerable, I founded the Betty Ogiel Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting girl-child education in the Karamoja and Teso Regions of Uganda. My work focuses on helping girls in dire circumstances attain higher education and develop skills for self-reliance while also sometimes extending support to boys in underprivileged areas Betty Ogiel Foundation.

My work has been featured on platforms like BBC’s Outlook, and I’ve participated in high-profile panels, including at the UN Headquarters and the World Bank.
